the insane asylum part she went through was show in that GenX christmas issue right, where all the ladies told thier origins? I thought that Emma made that pert of her origin up as it was retold in her cancelled series....

That's gonna be hard to make up since they went in her mind via M's telepathic  powers to save Emma.  yup way too hard to make up. she didn't  show them that voluntarily. they snuck in and saw her past.  She never told a thing not a damn thing.

and beside it was shown in earlyer issuse's of uncanny that banshee was cop in  new york  befor joining interpole. and remember that time  where banshee chased down omega red  befor the soldier thing was pleace on him(omega red) too, when showing  banhees own flash back? is that gonna be pushed as "made up" too?  any ways.  like I said I'm sorry but I'm  not accepting it. alot  could have been Intergrated.  they just don't want to do it.  which leave's a convoluted mess still.   oh well.

their still skiping the insane asylume that emma went through. well I'm never gonna accept part on the over writing on emma's past or the fact that she met banshee as kid when he was beat cop in new york.

NXM is still crap for the over writing.  sorry every one.  but that was still possable to assimulate it  in that  part of her history and  that was the original better story. and  it was still less convoluted. all thank to NXM it is now. next to other things which I still meet other people that dio see that as well.   but oh well.

I think the asylum part was actually her feeling responsible for her brother's fate.

Theres two schools of thought on the insane asylum thing...ever since she revealed it to the Gen X girls in the issue where they all told how their powers manifested and then later in the Emma Frost series when it was ignored.
1) Shes lying to get sympathy or attention (not out of the realms of possibility...infact wholly probable)
2) She has maintained the dillusion to deal withe rher brother's fate.

hmmmmmmmm. what ever. I just want them. to ehter clear thing up properly or intergrate them both in so it makes better sense. in stead of conflicting with each other.  I like being able to Explain something with out me the the Explainer being confused my self.  and as known  other's saw the' Emma insane asylum " thing as part of  her real history and the insane asylem  was  that.  as shown here in this link.

Review by Hida Tomoe.

Review: Well. I still prefer the origin story proposed in the pages of Generation X (as it sits somewhat poorly with me that Emma might have thought she needed to create a story just as sordid as this one to explain to her kids how she'd become who she was) but this isn't bad as far as revamped continuity goes. I'm still disappointed that the creative team thought it necessary for Emma to be a bottle blonde, especially when Adrienne herself later on, apparently, becomes a bottle brunette. The artistic team have improved in their depiction of Emma since their first issue aboard, though. She looks less dumpy and more willful, which is nice.

I am some what concerned with the pace of Emma's psychic development, though. I rather enjoyed the gradual discovery of her powers in the first story arc, and was a little taken aback by the accelerated pace at which she gained control of her powers in this one. I understand that desperate times call for desperate measures, and do not quibble at her ability to influence the gang against each other. I am skeptical, however, of her ability to prevent them from actually harming each other, and then removing all trace of herself from their memories. I could be wrong, but I cannot recall that she ever used her mind-wipe ability before, or was even aware that she could do it (this is my broad hint for someone to e-mail and correct me, as I am too lazy to go through my many scattered back issues.) Also, the taking of the money was a little too easy. Is it really conceivable that Emma could have evaded detection by the electronic surveillance equipment I'm sure was placed around the locker? Given that this series takes place in some time warp (*cough* digital camera *cough*), perhaps the assumption is that there was no equipment.

And as I promised last recap: what's up with the Daddy issues? I might start to worry about Bollers's obsessions if the next story arc finds Emma trapped by some manipulative older guy in New York, from whom she must free herself in order to achieve self-actualization... again. The story with Lucien could be a perverse mirroring of her relationship with Winston (and thus clever), but yet another version of the Bad Daddy story would make me wonder if Bollers isn't just mining familiar territory.

and other's have complained about the over too.

and for the most part they (marvel) said the Emma ongoing series was soposed to make us feel  more sorry for emma.  But to tell you the truth  the Gen X story told prior to the NXMone   I actually did feel sorry for her. The later in NXM and  in the Emma ongoing which was "canceled cause alot of fans I saw made complaint's be cause of the ignoration" like the Rogue LS II cause of that kind work/ thinking.   didn't make me feel sorry for emma.    sorry to say.  any way it was still possable to appy both. and maybe . but Noooooooooooo. damn the write overing already.

It's like roy said in that vidoe link. http://www.spacecast.com/wvx/2006/02/hs_feb9.wvx

Ether find a way to intergrate the storys or leave that charater's past history  alone and create your own new character to play with.

I think Emma's story in her solo was fine. And anyway Emma has always been manipulating people.
But I got a question : Why can't the asylum thing be placed after Emma's solo serie ?

its because her parents put her in that asylum when her powers manifested and her family thought she was crazy for hearing voices......and that couldnt happen in a rich family like that.....in that GenX issue shes depicted as a little girl but in her series shes a teenager.....it wouldnt work.....

I dont underatand why they want to make Emma nice?!

The best point of Emma Frost is that shes a b!+{#...i personally hate it when the X-Men are universally getting along because that just wouldnt happen in real life...if u put people in a room from different culutre who all only have one thign in common there will be clashes.

well if we are talking reality.  emma's butt would have been booted outta the X mansion cause of what she did with scott. out of the other x-mens loyaty/ friend ship with jean.

And number of other thing's should have happened in the relistic view didn't  happen.

That I don't have time to go into it.  but for the most part the X-men won't funtion right as a team and boom alot of them would be dead.because of the work they do .  if this was shown in a realitic fashion. but it hasn't been. so what ever.

and there was this thing on CNN about people that act like that  on.  Some book called working with you is killing me.  And their are  business that have went under cause of such situations with people that act like emma. So much so that alot of them are being seeked  out so that they don't get pormoted to manager/boss cause they can't maintain a  good working relation ship with  other co- workers.  to allow them to the places of work to keep  running.

Anyway for the most part.
emma never stopped being a bi-otch. sorry to any one esle for me saying that word.  they(writers) were just giving  her more layers other's then that  shown  overy time she on page and one  day soon it's going  to be played out  type of a one trick pony characteristic. And in truth that is true realism and adding defintion to the character. which  is actually supposed to be done.

there's more layer's to a person then just one charaterristic in real life .  so if you want realism  that should for character's in literature too they have Expand for that one thing.   other wise  that topic of realism shouldn't be brought up.

And they were showing her more vulnerable side. which is what other people would debate makes her  character more human to the fan base. that's all.

The bi-otch  thing can't be there at all time of the day.  Just like how people aren't happy at all times of the day.or sad ETC.  there are some moment's of change in emotion and they don't treat every one that same way ether.    Look at crusty the freaking clown on the simpsons.  he's  happy only at the time for the tv show that bart and liza watch that he does. And sometime he's grumpy. but they show him  to  have  oher mood's like happeness at times.   So  he has other's mood's, problems and situation's.  that's what they were doing there with emma.

and the were aloseplaining why  in simpathic fashion to how she became a villain /drunk.  her being sent to the nut house as kid kind make sense.  they stat that on make character villain that that is shown to make feel a bit sorry for the character's even if they are evil or formerly and are making transition from whatthey were.

Just adding more layers to Emma. they didn't do any thing wrong there.   their showing others things  to evolve a charaters development, and  that  is supposed to be a  good thing.   beside's I think jeff loeb complained about that once dealing with the X-Men. about missing layers or no new things being added on to help these character's grow.

there Nothing wrong with it at all.   Any ways.  what ever.  bah.

Not necessarily....i think at the start of Reload it was made pretty clear...Scotts making the decisions now if you dont like it...deal.

Case in point how everyone was complaining about their team placements...scott made the decisions...if he wanted emma to stay...she would.

Plus i alos think people tended to balme Scott more for his affair...its like they expected it of Emma but he should have known better...not fair...but true.

scott has been dealling with telepaths for years, he knows how to lie to one. anyway he didnt express his decision until after jean was dead and burried. don't care what anyone says scott and jean belong together, i hate it cause all jean wants is for scott to be happy, thats why she saved emma when her body was shattered, jean should have let her die.

I’m sure everybody would like her if she got together with Beast or Iceman or even Logan for that matter its just that she broke up Scott and Jean I think.

In my opinion Emma is one of the best characters in the entire marvel U.
