Here's the review from JRPBSP:

I liked the art as a one-off. Almost had an indie flavor, which suited the "downtime" story. It was more about the interpersonals than anything else, so it was ok. Glad Dani and Sam worked things out - although I'm surprised at the implication that Dani didn't keep her Valkyrie abilities (yet kept Brightwind). If she can still take down guys like Ares, there really shouldn't be any reason for Sam to hesitate adding her to the team.

Warlock bothered me a bit - is this the original Warlock somehow returned? Certainly seems that way because if it was Warlock III (who used to be Douglock) then his look and speech patterns wouldn't make sense. At least if they still consider them separate entities, which was the case as of a while back in the Warlock series. I suppose it's possible that the first Warlock managed to survive Hodge's draining of his lifeenergy by shrinking down to microscopic level and it's taken him this long to reconstitute himself to approximately human size.  Looking forward to Cypher's return too!

Writing about comics isn't nerdy, right?

I was under the impression that the Douglock entity was the original Warlock, just with Doug's personality imprinted over his own (until around Excalibur #100).  I know he appeared during one of the Annhilation events, but I'm not really a fan of the cosmic heroes.

I like that they've brought him back, but he seems to be another case of all the New Mutants kids reverting to their original characterization/powers no matter how much development they've received over the years.  Can Sunspot fly or shoot blasts anymore?

Douglock was Warlock with the imprint of Doug's mind.  IIRC, he didn't realize the truth at the time.  It became clear when Kitty went into Doug's grave and found the body was still present.  Even so, Douglock was an excellent character and I was sorry to see him go.
